My tribute to one of the greatest science fiction sagas ever produced....PIIIIIGS IIIIN SPAAAAACE!
With the intrepid Captain Link Hogthrob, his seductive First Mate Piggy, and the delightfully mad Dr. Julius Strangepork. Setting out to boldly go where no pig has gone before, their adventures include being the first swines to walk in the planet Koozebane, discovering the secret to invisibility, tilting the spaceship with their weight, and battling the fearsome Derth Nadar!
Aside from being a hilarious space-comedy, this old "Muppet Show" sketch also serves as a reminder that Piggy is capable of playing off of Muppets besides Kermit. For some reason, Piggy is more limited in the movies, as opposed to TV. On "The Muppet Show," "Muppet Babies," and"Muppets Tonight," she is able to fill a number of roles, and play off of everyone from Link to Scooter to her nephews Andy and Randy...but in the movies, her storylines only involve human guest stars or Kermit. I'm hoping whoever's in charge of the next Muppet movie will catch onto this, and let Piggy team up with some of the other Muppets for a change. (I'm frankly surprised she and Fozzie have never joined forces to save Kermit from some danger or another.)

Much like how we are overdue an Electric Mayhem album, we are overdue a Pigs in Space feature film. It’s not like there isn’t ample Trek movie material to spoof.
